I did spend a week n a half posing and getting feedback from peers and instructors at school, ending up realizing the pose was wrong for accurate stance so I tried bringing it into Maya and cutting the mesh in half to reverse the legs so I wouldn't have to do it all over again. Everything was fine brought it into ZBrush again and blended the parts together, dynamesh to fill holes. Cleaned up the pose and reverted back to t-pose for it to not recognize the mesh. Damn it...Keeping my cool I stepped away and told myself to sleep on it.
Next day I came into school with a definite plan to how to get the character posed and ready, starting from the original stance I was able to get everything laid out with a strong silhouette in 2 hrs. Through the process I've encountered all the problems I should have to understand the workflow in posing, right topology, and transferring in between Maya and ZBrush. Now I can do things in half the time with my Monkeyking sculpt.
